MLPCH Aloha Care Webinar

On January 13, 2021, MLPCH Attorneys Fernando P. Cosio & Deja Ostrowski participated in a live webinar event with our community partners Aloha Care. Members of the 100+ participant audience included health care workers, social workers, corporate personnel, and local businessmen and women. The focus of the presentation centered around the MLP model and theoretical framework of the social determinants of health. Specifically, a large focus of the presentation centered on the necessity of safe and secure housing in the context of health and law and the relevant legal protections that are currently effective in the State of Hawaii to promote housing security during the coronavirus pandemic. MLPCH thanks Aloha Care for the opportunity to present and for our continued joint advocacy efforts and partnership.
